A huge thank you to Marlene at Millside Ceramics for such an incredible, generous day of learning, connection, and incredible food!
I am grateful to Marlene for welcoming us into her home and sharing her Mohawk traditions in pottery. From learning traditional pinch pot techniques and firing our pieces in open flame, to admiring her vintage beadwork collection, every moment was so special.
To top it off, we were treated to amazing traditional foods like Three Sisters soup, and got to meet the sweetest farm goats and chickens!
Thank you, Marlene, for your warmth, hospitality, and for sharing your knowledge and tradition with us. A day I’ll remember for a long time! 💛
