This curious Giant Resin Bee was in one of my colonies. It must have been searching for a new nest. It was so slick and shiny and about 1/2" long it didn't blend in with the others. Another pollinator just going its thing.

We had two lovely visitors from Barrie today. Hosting visitors at our little farm and being able to share my passion is a great way to spend my retirement 🐝🐝🍯🍯.

Yes, being a small operation, I do everything by hand. I uncapped honey yesterday and was left with wax. Today I filtered the wax for tea lights and made labels. Now I am packaging to get them ready for sale in my little shop.

I have no choice but to remove some honey because I'm standing on the ground and this is my view. I am eye level with the top of the colony. I can't add any more boxes because I would never be able to lift them down. I'll have to extract some honey and put the boxes back on. I have no empty boxes left because the girls are working overtime!🐝🐝🍯🍯🍯
