A dining room that feels both sophisticated and cozy - a place where family gathers and conversations linger. My go-to way of achieving this balance is by incorporating vintage pieces into my spaces.

They bring charm, history and a touch of patina that new items can’t replicate. Layering these character-filled finds with more modern elements creates a space that feels timeless, inviting and uniquely yours.

Here I have my grandparents’ dining table, at least 100 years old, where I have memories eating fresh fish and corn on the cob while visiting my grandparents every summer in Cape Cod. It’s now the table where my son does his homework, my daughter plays with her Play Doh and where we eat as a family every single day. As for the dining room chairs, all three are antique Bentwood sweetheart chairs designed by Michael Thonet. My children lovingly call them the “heart chairs” and bring a sense of identity to the space that I absolutely adore.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! The power of colour simply cannot be underestimated when transforming an interior space.

The exterior doors in our house were painted black by the previous owners, which made them a bold statement in such a small living space. When a black accent is painted in a white room, the black feature becomes the focal point, as your eyes naturally are drawn to the dark colour.

By painting the door the same colour as the rest of the room, it now blends in with the rest of the walls which makes the space feel bigger and more cohesive. Along with a new door handle, a jute door mat, and our vintage Bentwood chairs, our dining room finally feels less like an afterthought and more as an intentional living space for our family.

During my recent stay at the in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, I was completely captivated by the interior spaces and exterior gardens. Built in 1908, the former private residence has been lovingly restored, carrying a vintage elegance that celebrates its history while feeing effortlessly refined.

From the intricate detailing to the carefully preserved character, every corner told a story. I left inspired to bring that same sense of elegance, harmony, and attention to detail into my own projects. And was reminded that thoughtful restoration and attention to detail can create not just a space, but an experience that lingers.

In a space dominated by ceramic tile, bright lighting and metal fixtures, a bathroom can easily feel cold and impersonal.

To create balance, I designed a custom shower curtain tailored specifically for our upstairs family bathroom. The fabric I chose is from the Carmel collection at Canadian brand . Its rich tones and soft texture introduce warmth and depth, adding easy elegance and earthy charm to the space.

Thoughtful details - especially in textiles - can soften hard surfaces and bring a room to life!

Swipe through to see how this once-flooded basement is turning into a thoughtful, multifunctional space!

After last summer’s basement flood, we took the opportunity to reimagine our tight and awkward bathroom/laundry room. Relocating the washer and dryer to the back wall opened up the layout, giving us the space needed to integrate functional built-in storage without compromising flow.

Whether it’s a quick laundry load or a relaxing shower, this space proves that function and beauty can live together - even in the trickiest corners.

Après les dégâts causés par l’inondation de l’été dernier, nous avons repensé notre salle de bain/buanderie avec une nouvelle vision. En relocalisant la laveuse et la sécheuse sur le mur du fond, nous avons pu libérer de l’espace et intégrer du rangement encastré, sans compromettre la fluidité du lieu.

Entre une brassée de lessive ou une do**he bien méritée, cet espace prouve qu’il est possible de marier fonctionnalité et esthétisme — même dans les coins les plus complexes.
