Meet Nonna Rosa.

At 91 years old, Nonna knows a thing or two about tending a garden.
Nonna Rosa immigrated from Italy to Canada in the 1960’s, and built a life piece by piece. Her East Vancouver garden is her sanctuary — a place of abundance: beefsteak tomatoes ripening on the vine, fresh herbs, figs, flowers, Concord grapes, and a beloved pear tree. Decades of devotion, feeding 5 generations of family.

When we began thinking about how to introduce our newest garden tool, we kept coming back to the people who have been doing this long before us. Gardeners, yes, but also people who know the value of buying well, caring for what you have, and keeping things for years.

For Nonna, both these things are simply a way of life.

Our Garden Watering Wand was designed with that same philosophy: considered, enduring, functional enough to become part of your everyday rituals, beautiful enough to be passed down.

Nonna felt like the perfect person to put it to the test.

The verdict? Nonna approves.🍅

A small batch is landing October 16.

October has inspired us to post an ode to the wood stove. 🪵

We love an object that can be both deeply practical and completely shape the feeling of a room.
Some are tucked quietly in a corner, others are a major design consideration.
A simple piece of technology, that’s endlessly good at what it does.

Here are some we’ve been admiring lately.

A reminder to move a little slower.
To notice what’s already here —
the light, the texture, the small signs of life being lived.

There is beauty everywhere, if we give ourselves the time to see it.✨

There’s nothing quite like the first soak of the season.

How far would you go for a little peace and quiet?
These homes take ‘getting away from it all’ quite literally.

6 places where isolation isn’t a drawback…
it’s part of the design.

Which one are you disappearing to?🌲
