STOP! Before you buy new furniture for your living room, read this...

The secret to creating a beautiful, cozy living room isn't buying more décor, it's layering natural textures and warm neutral tones.

Here's how:

Add Floating Shelves
Create a focal point while displaying books, artwork, family photos, and meaningful décor.

Mix Wood Tones
Don't match everything! Combining light and dark woods adds warmth, character, and visual interest.

Layer Textures
Think rugs, throw pillows, woven baskets, linen fabrics, and natural materials. These layers make a room feel inviting and lived-in.

Add Contrast
Bring in deeper tones like brown, camel, or earthy accents to give your neutral space depth and dimension.

Introduce Greenery
Plants instantly make a room feel fresh, alive, and connected to nature.

Add Personal Touches
The best-designed homes reflect the people who live there. Display pieces that tell your story and make you smile.

Remember: A cozy home isn't about following trends—it's about creating a space that feels uniquely yours.

STOP buying random smart devices for your home… without a plan.

Here’s the reality:
Most homes today have 3–5 different smart devices…
❌ Different apps
❌ Different brands
❌ Nothing actually works together

You have:
Smart lights
Smart thermostats
Smart speakers
Smart locks

…but your home still doesn’t feel “smart.”

A true SMART HOME means everything works together seamlessly.

Imagine this:
 You unlock the front door
 Lights turn on automatically
 Thermostat adjusts to comfort mode
 Your favourite music starts playing

ALL from one system.

That’s where home automation changes everything.

More homeowners and builders are investing in smart home technology because:
✔️ It increases resale value
✔️ Makes daily life easier
✔️ Adds comfort, convenience & security
✔️ Creates a more personalized home experience

And honestly? Smart homes are no longer the future…
They’re the present.

If you’re renovating, building, or redesigning your home, this is the BEST time to plan automation properly instead of adding random devices later.

We collaborate with trusted professionals to help homeowners integrate smart home solutions that actually work together beautifully.

This OZM Project was designed to create a sense of openness, elegance, and effortless flow across the main living and entertaining spaces. The concept balances architectural scale with warmth—bringing together clean lines, layered textures, and thoughtfully integrated custom details.

The living area becomes a true focal point with the dramatic fireplace feature wall, oversized framed mirrors, and a calm neutral palette that allows the architecture and natural light to take center stage. Soft curved seating and warm wood tones create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a refined, elevated feel.

The adjoining dining and custom bar area was designed with entertaining in mind, featuring statement cabinetry, integrated storage, display moments, and a luxurious yet inviting experience that connects beautifully with the surrounding landscape views.

Every rendering was developed to help communicate spatial relationships, materiality, scale, and the overall design vision before construction begins.

We were delighted to collaborate with KAE Designs on the drafting and rendering of this OZM Project, helping communicate the design intent through immersive visualization.

WESTON PROJECT

A foyer redesign rooted in warmth, balance, and elevated everyday living.

For this transformation, we layered soft architectural detailing with real material selections that bring depth and texture into the space — from light oak flooring and natural woven baskets to the dark wood console, aged brass accents, and organic textiles. The curated palette creates a welcoming first impression while maintaining a refined, timeless feel.

Every element was selected to enhance both function and flow:
• Custom millwork detailing
• Light natural oak flooring in a herringbone layout
• Warm brass lighting + mirror accents
• Rich espresso wood console styling
• Organic greenery and layered neutral textiles
• Soft tonal artwork to complete the composition

Designed with intention to make the entry feel bright, grounded, and effortlessly sophisticated.

It was a pleasure to collaborate on this B2B design partnership with NL Interiors.

Most homeowners think a beautiful living room comes from picking trendy furniture or the perfect coffee table.

It doesn’t.

Great living room design starts with FUNCTION first.

Before choosing paint colors, sofas, rugs, or décor, ask yourself:

• How do we actually use this living room?
• Where does clutter tend to collect?
• Does the layout feel cramped or awkward?
• Do we need better lighting, seating, or storage?
• Will this space still work for our lifestyle 5 years from now?

A well-designed living room should:
✔ Feel comfortable and inviting
✔ Support everyday living and entertaining
✔ Improve flow and functionality
✔ Reflect your personality and style
✔ Increase comfort AND value

The truth is:
A living room can look beautiful online but still feel uncomfortable or impractical in real life.

That’s why thoughtful planning matters more than trends.

The best living rooms balance:
→ beauty
→ comfort
→ practicality
→ longevity

If you’re planning a living room renovation or refresh, start by solving the functional problems first — then layer in the aesthetics.

That’s where the magic happens. ✨

Warm modern dining spaces are all about balance—rich textures, clean lines, and a feeling that instantly brings people together.

For the Garbati Project, we developed these dining room renderings to help bring the vision to life. The combination of an oversized wood table, soft, neutral seating, sculptural lighting, and layered organic elements creates a space that feels both elevated and welcoming for everyday living.

It was a pleasure collaborating with NL Interiors to help visualize their client’s dining room and showcase the possibilities of the space through realistic design renderings.

Thoughtful design always starts with helping clients truly SEE the transformation before it happens.

Decorating your living room with plants can add a refreshing touch of nature and enhance the overall ambiance. Here are some tips to help you get started:

Choose the Right Plants: Select plants that thrive indoors and suit your living room conditions (lighting, temperature, humidity). Popular indoor plants include pothos, snake plant, spider plant, and peace lily for their easy maintenance.

Placement: Consider where to place your plants based on their light requirements. Place plants that need more light near windows or in well-lit areas, while low-light plants can be placed in corners or on shelves away from direct sunlight.

Grouping: Arrange plants in clusters or groups of varying heights and sizes to create visual interest. This can also help fill empty corners or bare spaces effectively.

Use Different Containers: Opt for a variety of pots and containers in different materials (ceramic, terracotta, woven baskets) and colors to complement your decor style. Hanging planters or wall-mounted pots can save space and add dimension.

Consider Scale: Choose plants that are proportionate to your living room size. Large plants like fiddle leaf figs or palm trees can be striking as focal points, while smaller plants like succulents or air plants can be placed on coffee tables or shelves.

Mix with Other Decor Elements: Integrate plants with other decorative elements such as artwork, mirrors, or sculptures to create a cohesive look. Plants can soften the edges of furniture and add a natural touch to modern or minimalist spaces.

Maintenance: Regularly water and care for your plants according to their specific needs to keep them healthy and vibrant. Dust leaves occasionally and prune as necessary to maintain their shape and appearance.

Seasonal Touches: Consider seasonal plants or flowers to change up your decor throughout the year. For example, poinsettias during winter or blooming orchids in spring can add a seasonal flair.

The dining room is all about blending form and function while making the most out of the few pieces you have to work with. We loved incorporating a mix of some of our favorite design elements like the statement making wallpaper as well as the chandelier. Can’t wait for our clients to spend time gathering here.

I'm sharing this past dining room project for some inspiration. What do you think?
