Can finally post 2 of my latest woven projects.
This was a gift for a bride and groom who are very special to us. We were honoured to be among their family, celebrating this beautiful and special event

Shawl yarn is by Blue Brick Crafts in colourway Hyacinth, 800yds with tencel weft woven in my favourite pattern, herringbone. Men’s scarf is by Life In the Tall Grass in the colourway, Storyteller. Same weft was used in a pattern called broken lozenge.

Just cast off the husky-sized Abraçada shawl and she’s a beaut! Just right for wrapping as a kerchief to close the gap between jacket and skin on a cool evening 🩷

If you’re new to this shawl; this is Abraçada :) it’s a top down triangular shawl, amazing for beginners, with a neat, closed spine for extra warmth and structure. The patterns are easily memorized and the shawl is very versatile; instructions are given for 500, 800, 1200 and 1600 yard options.

I’ve also updated the file to reflect errata, and buyers should have received an updated download link, to reflect the changes to this size. Now onto knit a kraken sample!

There are a few gorgeous options online right now if you want to make your own shawl, and any yardage size will work!

Here are this month’s new colours :)
The Robin’s Egg Blue is very gentle, as it should be :) Honestly, our entire brand has leaned heavily on that colour, it shows up in the logo, the website, and the ball bands. Kind of surprised that it took me this long to make such an iconic but simple colour.

The other two are a great combination :) They’re earthy and woody, very much my vibe these days. Check em out (along with this month’s other babies) and see what calls to you!

I know everyone has been waiting on swatches, apologies my loves :) here is the first one!

Robin is a sweet rusty warm Robin-red-breast that fades into the slightest hint of a yellow beak before proceeding into a very warm charcoal that deepens slightly at the bottom.

Hey folks, I have to dye a few Kaizen kits today or tomorrow. If anyone wants one, I’ve temporarily turned the kit on, but it’s in the inventory yarns section. Just a heads up :) I’ll be dyeing them tomorrow, and likely turning the listing back off tonight.
