Staff Spotlight: Our Behind-the-Scenes IT Team

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on our IT Team, the behind-the-scenes problem-solvers who help keep United Floral connected, secure, and running smoothly every day.
While their work may not always be front and centre, it supports almost every part of our business. From system support and troubleshooting to equipment setup, software access, security, and new technology, our IT team helps keep our day-to-day operations moving.

Their support reaches every department, including Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Fresh Flowers, Supplies, Administration, and more. Whether they’re resolving a technical issue, improving a process, or helping introduce new tools, they play an important role in keeping our teams supported.

A big thank you to our IT Team for your patience, knowledge, quick support, and dedication. Your work may often happen behind the scenes, but its impact is felt across UFI every day.

A little BBQ and a big thank you to our UFI team!

After Mother’s Day, our busiest holiday of the year, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to our staff for all of their hard work, long days, teamwork, and dedication.

It takes every department working together to make a season like Mother’s Day happen. From receiving and processing to sales, buying, packing, shipping, supplies, customer service, admin, and everything in between, our team showed up in a big way.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize, grill, serve, and make the BBQ happen, and an even bigger thank you to our hardworking UFI team.

After 35 years with United Floral, Dorothy is retiring, and there truly are not enough words to express how much she means to all of us.

Dorothy has been such a constant part of UFI for so many years. She is the voice so many of our customers hear when they call, the warm face they see downstairs, and one of those very special people who has helped hold everything together behind the scenes in more ways than most people will ever know.

She has always been someone we could count on. Whether it was helping with reception, admin, keeping departments stocked before they even had to ask, jumping on time-sensitive tasks, or simply being there whenever someone needed support, Dorothy always showed up with care, pride, and a smile on her face. She never said no. She just helped.

She is also, and always will be, our Laminating Queen 👑

Dorothy has made such a lasting impact on United Floral. Our team loves her, our customers love her, and this place will not feel the same without her.

Dorothy, thank you for your 35 years of dedication, kindness, loyalty, and heart. Thank you for all the ways you made this company better simply by being part of it. We are so grateful for you, and we will miss you more than words can say.

Our Supply Department is a constant machine, always moving forward to better serve you.

This team is a huge part of the UFI family and is deeply appreciated for the knowledge, care, and energy they bring every day.
