I have a confession 👀

Why would I bother touching a mop when I’ve got this baby?! Seriously, we’ve been running our new Narwal FREO 20 every time we leave the house lately and our floors have never been more clean!

To summarize some of my fave things about this powerhouse:

✨It mops AND vacuums. It recognizes when it is on hard floor versus carpet and adjusts the settings/suction accordingly to get the best clean on every surface.
✨The Flow Wash System means that there is clean water being cycled constantly, keeping the extra-wide mop head clean and the fact that it’s heated water is even better!
✨Self-Cleaning means that I don’t have to flip the robot over and stick my fingers in it to clean anything. It has special brushes that ensure hair doesn’t get tangled, too.
✨It really hugs the edges and gets in the nooks & crannies. You can see it learning and getting better every time it runs as it gets to know your house and furniture layout.
✨The app is AWESOME and so easy to use. The robot creates a map of your home in the app and you can edit it and customize different settings for different spaces. You can also create a schedule - it’s quiet enough to clean while you’re sleeping!
✨It has a CHILD LOCK which is so smart!

I really love it and it’s gotta be the next best thing to having a house cleaner for busy moms.

Would you recognize these examples as abuse? 🚩

Economic abuse is actually one of the most common forms of abuse and can affect people from all different socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels. It’s often hidden and does not get as much attention as other forms of abuse, but can have disastrous effects on a person’s life.

Some other example beyond those mentioned in the video are:
- Stopping you from having your own bank account
- Making major financial decisions without consulting you
- Exhibiting behaviour that deliberately puts your employment at risk
- Applying for government benefits in your name without your knowledge
- Blocking the sale of shared assets
- Implied threats like, “we’ll lose everything if you don’t loan me this money,

Can’t believe it’s the same door 👀

I’ve wanted the look of a wood door here forever, but replacing our perfectly good metal door definitely wasn’t in the budget.

I knew that I could fake it with some paint & gel stain and I am OBSESSED with how it turned out.

Application tips:

✨Clean the surface with a prep solution - I love Krud Kutter Gloss-Off because it cleans and roughs up the surface at the same time!

✨Lightly sand the surface (I used 120 grit) and remove any dust.

✨Use any paint in a wood-tone beige and apply to the door with a brush in long continuous strokes to mimic wood grain.

✨Apply gel stain with a soft synthetic brush - here I used Varathane Total Control Water-Based Gel Stain in Dark Walnut. Let it dry for a couple minutes then use a dry chip brush in long continuous strokes to remove excess.

✨Tackle the door in sections - tape off each section as you go so you avoid any overlapping brush strokes! Water-based stain like this one dries nice and quick!

✨Apply a topcoat like Varathane’s Triple Thick Clear Finish (my faveeee)
