Located in Northwest Calgary, Northland Village Mall was constructed in 1971. Over the years, there have been numerous renovations and expansions but nothing quite like what lies ahead. Primaris (A Division of H&R REIT) is pleased to announce that it is time for Northland Village Mall to shine once again and the long-awaited redevelopment of the property is slated to commence in early 2022.
With the redevelopment of the property, the community will see the enclosed mall transformed into an open air shopping centre that will be a modern mixed use shopping and community hub. In order for this transformation to begin, portions of the centre will close to the public effective November 15, 2021.
Continued access to AHS Hemodialysis, Winners and Northland Village Dental will be available through the upper parkade and North East (across from McDonald’s) entrances. Best Buy, Goodlife Fitness and Walmart will remain open via their exterior entrances. Tim Hortons and TLC Dental will remain open until the end of December 2021 and will be accessible via the South East (beside Tim Hortons) entrance. Please note that there will be no access to the interior of the shopping centre effective November 15; this will be closed to the public.
Over the years, Northland Village Mall has been where you went to see a new movie, got the latest music, met up with friends to grab a coffee at Smitty’s or a cinnamon bun from Grandma Lees and skipped school (sorry mom and dad) to go to Wizards Castle; it is the end of an era. Northland Village Mall will celebrate the past by inviting Calgarians to take a walk down memory lane and reminisce from November 9 to 14. Come tour the shopping centre to view a photo montage of yesteryear and bring a nonperishable food item(s) in support of The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary.
