We painted this 1950's house in Edmonton. We ran into a couple of snags because the textured ceiling was never painted with oil. So it was cracked and flaked off as soon as we tried to roll it. The solution we came up with was to spray it with spray paint and then roll it. It worked like a charm. There were many things to patch and fix, but it turned out beautiful 🧡

Tip #7.
If you tend to hit the ceiling when rolling the wall, hold the roller just under the ceiling. Do not move your hands from this spot on the pole and step directly to your right. You will never hit the ceiling again...

Tip #6
If you purchase paint and later have to purchase more of the same color, it is best to mix the two together. This is to insure that the color is consistent for the rest of your job. Painters call this "boxing" the paint.
