Wall art doesn't always have to be a painting or photograph... 👩‍🎨

For this retail space, we used BelarteSTUDIO. wallpaper and surrounded it with a simple frame to turn the entire wall into the focal point.

This simple architectural detail gives the wallpaper presence, anchors the reception area, and creates a custom, gallery-like feel.

At Giono Studio, we choose artwork with intention.

In Indigenous recovery and treatment centres, art does more than complete a space. It preserves culture, shares stories, and creates opportunities for reflection, healing, and connection.

🚨 Beautiful spaces aren't enough. Good design should improve how people live.

We believe every design decision carries a responsibility…

👩‍⚕️ To the pharmacist who spends 10 hours on their feet.
👵 To the senior navigating a care home.
🧒 To the child learning in a classroom.
👪 To the family coming home after a long day.

That's why we design around people.

Every material, layout, lighting decision, colour palette, and circulation path is chosen intentionally, guided by research, and informed by the people who use the space every day.

Design affects how people feel, heal, work, learn, and live.

What if one design feature could solve multiple design challenges?

These custom arched French doors do exactly that, without forcing you to choose between beauty and function.

✨ Designed for , they separate the salon and spa into two distinct spaces while allowing natural light to flow throughout the interior. Reeded glass provides visual and acoustic privacy, while the arched steel frames complement the French-inspired architecture of Elizabeth Square.

At Giono Studio, we believe every design decision should have a purpose. When thoughtful design and functionality work together, beautiful spaces aren't accidental. They're intentional.

Designing in the wellness sector is different when you actually work in it...

Danielle’s career in pharmacy provides experience that shapes how Giono approaches health and wellness design.

We understand that spaces need to support more than just the individual receiving care, but also for those who provide it.

Workflow efficiency. Privacy.
Moments of interaction.
Places to focus. Others to reset.

Being sterile without feeling sterile.
Supporting recovery through science-backed, intentional design decisions.
It’s what we do! 🤍

Luxury doesn't have to mean a huge bathroom. Sometimes, it's the thoughtful details that transform an everyday routine into a moment of relaxation:

🛁 A deep soaker tub
🪵 Natural materials
💡 Warm, layered lighting
🎨 Original artwork
🌿 Views to nature
📚 Generous ledges for your favourite book, candle, or glass of w**e

Together, these elements create a space that feels calm and restorative.

What would make your dream bathroom complete? 👇 💬

Healing doesn't only happen in treatment rooms. 🌿

Sometimes it happens in the kitchen. 🍽

🍳 A place where families cook together.
🥘 Where culture is shared through food.
👭 Where community gathers.
🤝 Where confidence is rebuilt through everyday routines.

In this recovery center design, bringing people together, fostering belonging, and storytelling were priorities for the kitchen, intentionally connected to the Indigenous art gallery and healing room.

Every material was thoughtfully selected for durability, sustainability, and cultural relevance, creating a space designed to serve generations to come.🤍

Because the most meaningful spaces don't just support treatment.

They make healing part of everyday life. ✨

Every decision should have a purpose.

The way people move through a space. How they interact with materials.

Layout, lighting, colour, and texture are all elements that shape how someone feels in a space.

So whether we're designing a pharmacy, clinic, office, or home, our goal is always the same: to create environments where people feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.

Why two-toned cabinetry?
✨ To define each zone with intention.
✨ To let light interact differently across each material.
✨ To create contrast through texture, not clutter.

Flat-panel doors and integrated knife-edge pulls reinforce the quiet simplicity of Scandinavian design.

Storage was a priority, so we designed custom millwork that extends beyond standard cabinet heights, maximizing every inch of the kitchen while keeping everyday essentials tucked away.

The best kitchens don’t ask families to adapt.
They adapt to the family.

Every project starts the same way.

A vision.
A conversation.
A sketch.

Then one day, you're standing inside it.

Seeing come to life in Marda Loop, Calgary, and hearing how much the clients and staff love the space is the most rewarding part of the process.

Thank you for trusting Giono Studio to bring your vision to life. 🤍
