Working to complete my Bloodstream series.

There’s something different in my hands now.

These feel like pieces of hearts —
held, shaped, given form.

Not taken.

I used to feel life leaving…
and reentering somewhere else.

Now it feels like I’m part of bringing it forward.
Guiding it into something that can exist.

Same current.
Different direction.

November is getting closer 🙌

Came across this unfinished piece in the studio.

Pieced years ago, but never quilted.
I couldn’t decide if I wanted four studies or one piece…

Sometimes work waits.

This spring feels like the time to finish the pieces that have been quietly waiting — to give them their final expression.

Then release them.

Prepping for my solo show at La Galería de las Misiones ✨
working with rhythm, spacing, and flow as the work finds its place.

Some works are finished now.
Others were waiting—because how they’re completed depends entirely on how they live together in the space.

For those who’ve never seen Some Things Are Not Easily Seen, it’s made the journey to José Ignacio and will be on view here through March 🤍

This exhibition marks the first public showing of Bloodstream, a body of work now coming together in this space for the first time.

There will also be a meet-the-artist opening, with a chance to learn a bit more about how I work.
Stay tuned for details.

Jumping on the 2016 flashback.

(In 2015, I made my first completed quilt, September Dawn, which was juried into an exhibition. That moment was the ignition for everything that followed.):

1. Exploring modern traditional — including a quilting bee where I set the parameters and let the work breathe

2. Self-taught, intuitive, working without a rulebook pushing straight lines.
Title: Transcendent

3. Thinking through making, studying under some masters - my notebooks are important to me to this day.

4. Ignite - Gesture asserting itself - my “sexy curve” refuses to not be heard.

5. Chill-LAX
Straight lines being tested

6. Self-taught - pushing limits while teaching myself how to use a sewing machine

7. Hand binding in a chair —rituals that remain - and colour already insisting on being part of the work - Sneaking it in on the backs before I was ready to put it on the front

8. Work entering the world as I push materials and rules (Silver Lining)

9. Red Square — working inside the rules, even as they began to chafe

10. Community that held it all

In 2016, I was still finding my voice.
The signs were already there — the gesture, the curve, the color waiting to be let loose.

TUSCANY · 2026 June 21-27
Rewild & Renew · Find Your Voice

A place to remember who you are beneath the noise.

We’ll gather in the old church —
not to perform, but to listen.

Through embodied practices, guided creative prompts,
and conscious longevity work led by a physician,
we’ll slow the nervous system, work with the hands,
and move through the discomfort that keeps voice muted.

You’ll refine technique.
You’ll create a piece that carries meaning.
And you’ll leave more rooted in your own expression.

This is where creative voice is remembered.

More soon.

I’m done asking for permission.

My art is not a side project.
It is my refuge.
My regulator.
My source of energy.

I am many things —
and all of them feed the work.

This year is about reclaiming space,
returning to daily practice,
and letting the work sing
the way it always has.

Art has always been my way home.

And soon, I’ll be holding space
for others to find their voice too.

If it’s too much —
you’re free to move on.

I’m here to shine.

On the Wall —
Working on my Bloodstream series.
Pinned this up just to hold a place on the wall —
and somehow, it’s looking like a blood cell.

This is at the barn in May…
That piece has stayed with me — I may delve further into it as a series.

This fall, returning back to a blank wall and the beginning of something different. Each time I come back, it’s a fresh start, and the work takes a new direction.

This week: a blank wall, a new series. One that is very personal to me in every way. I can’t wait to get into the “zone”

Do you want to see more of the process as the work unfolds?
I don’t usually share finished pieces here — but maybe it’s time…
