Painting has become one of my passions because every piece I have ever done has a story and inspiration behind it. Each person looks at a painting with a different perspective, thought and feeling. I believe that c

olour, texture, and the movement in a painting is what captures a person’s eye and transforms dull spaces into something more personal and special. I love painting for other people because I love taking the time to get to know the person's personality, their story of why they want the painting and how they want it. I like to include you in the process so you connect with the piece, because I believe each person is inspiring, and it comes out in the final piece I create for you. Most of the time I have all these thoughts boucin around in my head...but with a brush in my hand, the world just gets kinda quiet. ~The Notebook

Ever wonder what the LCRA Art Program is all about?

🎨What is the LCRA Art Program?
Together with LCRA, local businesses, and incredible artists, we are building a community art program that fosters connection, community and creativity.

For now, we gather twice a month to create, connect, and collaborate:

🎨 First Friday Creations (Adults Only)
First Friday of every month : A creative space to unwind, explore, and experiment with different art forms.

👩‍👧 Big & Little Creations (Caregivers & Kids)
Last Friday of every month : A time for kids and their grown-ups to create, connect, and explore art together.

This wouldn’t be possible without the support of:
⭐ Calgary Arts Development – Supporting local artists and creative initiatives.

This month, we’re honoured to welcome Melba Seto, founder of Seto Pottery and Melba is a Calgary-based artist and instructor who blends mindfulness, artistry, adventure and community connection through clay and soap. Her workshops are soulful and grounding ; a chance to reconnect with yourself while learning the art of handbuilding pottery.

Created live at the YWHISPER Gala 2025, this painting is a visual story of resilience, intersectionality, and collective empowerment. Every ripple, triangle, and flower is rooted in the belief that when adversity is met with kindness and support, our courage multiplies.

Inspired by the stories of the YW Calgary community and my own Mother’s immigration story 50 years ago, this piece honours generations of women who paved the way and those rising now to lead with kindness and compassion.

✨ LCRA First Friday Creations March Recap! ✨

On March 7, we gathered for a beautiful evening of creativity, connection, and community. In celebration of International Women’s Day, we explored the art of modern lettering with the incredibly talented

Rachel guided us through a hands-on lettering session, welcoming all creative levels. It was inspiring to see each participant bring their unique style to life, writing words that held personal meaning and beauty.

Of course, no creative night is complete without a little break! We enjoyed delicious treats from and Rachel sent everyone home with special goodies to keep practicing their lettering skills.

A huge thank you to Rachel Lyon for sharing her expertise and passion! Our next Adults-Only Workshop is happening on April 4th. Please subscribe to my email list to stay updated.

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here 💕I am Krystelle Celestino Wurtz, the artist behind Krystelle Creations; where story telling becomes art.

I’m an artist, educator, storyteller AND Mom who believes art has the power to connect people and preserve stories. With over a decade of teaching experience and a passion for meaningful creativity, I founded Krystelle Creations to turn stories into lasting art.

My hope is to nurture stories so they are seen, heard, and felt. Through live community painting, bespoke artwork, personalized art education, and immersive workshops, I help you transform moments into a lived legacy.

I want to nurture and create a world where stories are immortalized through art, fostering deep connections within communities and inspiring meaningful conversations.
