Unfortunately, we have to make this post due to the outrageous amount of hate comments and private messages we have been receiving from our post with Mark Carney.
Our pancake breakfast has always been about giving back to our community and especially our vendors who support us each and every week. We spent a ridiculous amount of money to ensure the community had an amazing time.
We put on this breakfast for nobody but our customers, community and vendors.
❗️No, we did not know about Mark Carneys appearance.
❗️No, we did not get the option to say yes or no to his appearance.
❗️No, we did not go into the experience with any sort of political views.
❗️Yes, we flipped pancakes with Mark Carney and gave him a Babe's Bites hat.
❗️Not everyone gets the chance to meet the Prime Minister of Canada, so we took this opportunity at hand, regardless of their political stance.
❗️Just because we were involved in this experience, does not mean we are in support of Mark Carney and his political views.
❗️Here at Babe's Bites, we are non judgemental and have created an enviromemt where everyone is included, regardless of your political stance.
❗️Our kitchen is a mix of liberal & conservatives who put their differences aside to serve our community. We deeply love and care for eachother no matter what.
❗️If you don't want to support us because we took pictures with the Prime Minister, a once in a lifetime opportunity, then don't support us!
❗️It's sad to see how many individuals have jumped the gun and blasted us on social media saying they will absolutely never support our kitchen, we should be ashamed and that we are terrible people. If you believe one single picture is enough to judge someone and "know" their political stance, then we don't want your support.
❗️As a small business, we do our best to keep all politics pushed aside as we are not here to judge, hate or debate. We are here to serve you guys amazing food and create an amazing environment everyone wants to be apart of.
