Parkhill | Contemporary Tudor-inspired architecture
This Parkhill residence reinterprets Tudor forms through a crisp, contemporary lens. Steep front-facing gables establish the home’s profile, while pale stucco, charcoal detailing and dark-framed, divided-light windows give the façade a clear, modern rhythm. At its centre, a double-height glazed stair hall draws light through the home and reveals the vertical movement within.
The interiors balance architectural contrast with warmth. Oak flooring and walnut cabinetry soften the strong lines of the black steel stair railing and window frames. Deep green millwork and botanical wallpaper bring colour to the mudroom, while a veined marble fireplace surround and checkerboard stone floor introduce expressive pattern. Sculptural lighting and restrained furnishings complete the composition.
Architectural Note: Traditional gabled forms meet contemporary glazing and material restraint, creating a home with a strong sense of character and a distinctly modern point of view.
