✨ A little change to a page that means so much to me. 💜
You may have noticed that Emma Jean’s Crochet has officially become Emma Jean’s Creations.
My mom, Bonnie Jean, and I started this page together in 2016 after talking for years about doing something like this. She taught me how to crochet, but more than that, she gave me so much creativity and a love of making things that I still carry with me today.
We named the page after my great-grandmother, Emma Jean — my mom’s grandmother — who taught my mom to crochet. ❤️
Then, at the beginning of 2017, my mom passed away.
Since then, I’ve done my best to keep what we started together going. Some years have been more active than others. Life has been busy — being a mom, being a student, managing my neurological disorder, and everything else that comes along with simply being human. There have been times when crafting has had to take a back seat, but I’ve never wanted to let this page, or what my mom and I created together, disappear.
Over the years, my creativity has also grown beyond crochet. I still love it, and crochet will always have a special place here, but it’s no longer the only way I love to create.
So this isn't really a new beginning.
Emma Jean’s Creations is the next chapter of something my mom and I started together. 💜
The old creations and memories are staying right where they are, and now I have room to share everything else I make too —crochet, beadwork, random crafty ideas, and whatever I decide to try next. 🧶🪡🌈
Same page. Same history. Same heart. Just more room to create.
