As it’s the last day of school for my kids, I was thinking about what I was doing at this time last year...
I was in full hustle mode, trying to finish my daughter’s bedroom makeover before summer break officially began. There were late nights, endless projects, and more than a few moments where I wondered if I’d pull it all together in time.
But seeing her reaction when she walked into her finished checkerboard kitty cat room made every minute worth it. 💕
Now, one year later, it’s still one of her favourite places to be. A room filled with her personality, her interests, and all the little details that make her feel special.
As a designer—and as a mom—I love creating spaces that look beautiful, but what I love even more is creating spaces that make people feel seen, comfortable, and completely at home.
It’s hard to believe a whole year has passed since the reveal, but seeing how much she’s loved this room reminds me why I do what I do.
