Something pretty for today! Finally I’m back to doing some stamping. A new longarm quilting machine has been keeping my attention. Throughout this past year I made lap quilts for my siblings. We had our Christmas party today and I could give them away. They are all made from scraps of fabric from our Mom, in everyone’s favourite color . The white pattern doesn’t show up as a quilt, but the last picture shows what the blocks look like. It was great therapy dabbling in Moms fabric and creating these “works of heart.”

It was into the new year that I realized I hadn’t touched a paint brush since my mom passed away. A whole year had gone by. So I’ve started dabbling in watercolor once again! It felt great to be back at it. The barn is a class that I’d purchased a couple of years ago. The others are courtesy of you tube. There are so many classes out there to choose from.

Here is some “card art” for your enjoyment. I’m done cleaning up in the garden, so I’ll be in my studio more.
I’m planning on doing some watercolors. I got to thinking … it’s been a year since I painted anything. When my Mom went into long-term care I stopped. Hummmm, interesting. And since she passed away, I’ve been centred on creating “tiny” art in the form of cards. I’ve also been creating some quilts from all of her scrap fabric. There is quality therapy in my studio!!

4 cards made from one of the wreaths from a previous post. I even had ribbon in my stash that was purple on one side with a hint of orange on the back side. A perfect match. I left out a sentiment so they can become whatever is needed.
