"Our tropical pals fight winter's dry air.
Sometimes... I just sit here, watching them. The dry air from the furnace, man, it just sucks the life out. I worry. Spritzing, pebble trays—it feels like a desperate whisper against the harsh Canadian reality. But then, a new leaf unfurls, bright green... a little victory. These guys, they remind me of summer, of being alive. It’s a lot, you know? Keeping that feeling going.
1. Begonia 'Escargot' - Swirly leaves, demands consistent high humidity.
2. Hoya kerrii 'Heart Green' - Thick heart leaves, handles average dryness.
3. Hoya pachyclada 'Albo' - Variegated, thick leaves, prefers elevated moisture.
4. Aglaonema Anyamanee Tricolor - Pink, green, cream — loves humidity.
5. Hoya mindorensis 'Purple' - Purple undersides, enjoys higher humidity.
How do you keep your tropical plants breathing?
