When I first built one of my lamps I had no expectations other than wanting to see if I could add something to an old idea. I had seen other things turned into lamps. They all operated the way an ordinary table lamp worked.. I wanted the the cylinder valve itself to control the light. After a few prototypes I found a method that worked well. I also started using nicer wood and added the USB charge
port for additional functionality. It ended up with a trophy like base that has a very nice appearance. I also learned how to create translucent images to be added to lampshades. This allows virtually any image to be placed on a shade. People that see the lamp and how it works think it is a pretty unique idea. I thought it might make a nice firefighter retirement gift. A nice lamp to put up in the company office. A really cool lamp for the kids room or maybe in the corner of the man cave. When I have time I continue to explore new ideas of which there are many.
