Next Sunday we have a class for two-handed colourwork, while we work through the Buffalo plaid motif of the My Canada Hat, just in time for Canada Day! (Of course, it will be too warm to wear it next Wednesday, but the thought will be there!) 😃

Thank you to all who came out for our Worldwide Knit in Public Day event! Whether you stayed for an hour or five (or came just in time for cleanup—ha ha!), we really appreciated your representing this fabulous hobby with us!

And congratulations to our prize winners! 🎉 Patti and Chrissy tied in our speed-knitting competition (more or less—within a second of one another); Mary got the closest to the stitch marker count (there were 437 for those who need to know!); Catherine and Kathleen tied with four fibres guessed correctly in our fibre feel game; and Laurie won the draw for the word search! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a great success!

One more sleep! We've got the games ready, the punch chilling, the prizes picked, and our knitting projects chosen! Now we just need you! Come knit in public with us!

This event is happening outside our store at 9 Elgin Street East (Cobourg, of course). We will have a tent set up for outdoor knitting, but if the weather forces us inside, we have a fantastic space there, too!

And if you can't join us, we hope you'll knit in public wherever you are. Share with the world what a great hobby this is! 🧶🧶🧶

Next Saturday (June 13) is WorldWide Knit in Public Day, and we invite you to spend it with us! We will play yarny games (for prizes!), have an outdoor knitting circle (bring a comfy lawn chair!), and enjoy snacks and crafty camaraderie. Both knitters and crocheters are welcome!

Edited to add: We will be on location outside our store, and the tent will be up all day (10:30 to 4ish). Our plan for games is that no matter what time you arrive and no matter how long or short a time you hang out, you can participate in the games for prizes, which will be awarded afterward for pickup next week!
