Well, it's official, we sold the CNC Machine 😭

And the sad part is I don't think I have a mountain charcuterie board of my own!

To be honest I was so tired of that machine that it took a lot of mental energy to get myself in the workshop to complete orders. So that's a good sign it was time to move on.

Now that my home design business ( ) has stabilized itself and we are settled into our new home, I have more time for hobbies - true hobbies that are not a source of income, and don't require a deadline or any noisy machinery 😀

So if you've stuck around since the transition away from woodworking, you can expect to see some random assortment of arts and crafts and dogs and kids and whatever else is going on around here!

S H O P U P D A T E

We are 10 days from moving out of our home!

And 1 day from signing on to a new one with more opportunities for growth and financial stability.

At this time, I'm not sure if I will be returning to CNC work. It's been a nice break from the sawdust, mess, and noise that comes with the work. We also don't have a garage at our new place, so that's a bit of a deciding factor as well.

What I WILL be doing is diving into more artistic endeavors, like sketching this little Alpaca and other fuzzy creatures. I want 2024 to be a year of simple living. Working a regular 8-5, then enjoying my evenings with family and friends and quietness. No hustling or overworking or stressing. I'm quite done with that era.

Last project of the year coming in as the most fun and challenging one as well.

Each hole had a tiny magnet to hold a ball bearing in place while playing on the go. The ball bearings were torched at different temperatures to change the coloring, and the green ones were coated with alcohol ink and a top coat.

Almost time to switch out pumpkins for pine trees and candy canes 👀

Ever since it snowed here, I've forgotten all about fall, and I think a lot of people are getting into the holiday spirit sooner than usual.

I don't blame them. If it makes you happy to go full red and green in October, I say go for it. Happiness is underrated, and we need to cherish every little bit of joy we can.
