We've got some gorgeous zinnias currently blooming 😍

The garden is in full bloom, both flowers and veggies!

We are headed into Kelowna on Tuesday, so let us know if you need flowers or eggs! (Or dried chamomile/calendula 🤗)

Saturday harvest day!

While we grow lots of flowers, feeding our family is so important to us and our kids love eating all of the fresh fruit and veg 🥰

Squash tunnel coming along beautifully!

We have some spaghetti squash but mostly it looks like we have a hybridized squash coming in from seeds we collected last year (excited to see what they taste like! - worst case, the chickens will love them 😅). We also have a section of pickling cukes and english cucumbers which are just starting to produce!

Ps. I don't know why I ever start cucumbers early indoors - my early starts failed miserably and these were planted straight in the ground and are doing beautifully 🤷‍♀️

Our evening stroll soundtrack lately 😬

We are a decent distant from any active fires but we live close to an air field where they have been refueling the choppers. The kids love seeing the helicopters, the goats hate how close they are flying, and Scotty and I anxiously make sure they fly back in the same direction (so as not to indicate a new fire in another direction). Thinking of everyone affected this fire season ❤️

Say hello to our new little boy! We needed some new genes introduced to our herd for the upcoming breeding season and this guy fit the bill. He is mostly nubian with a little bit of alpine and we think he is going to make some beautiful babies with our mamas. Now all he needs is a name! So far we have the following names in contension:

Dill
Cosmo
Snapdragon (dragon for short 😅)
