Monday Moodboard.
2026 has been anything but predictable, here’s what’s inspiring me right now.

Sat down with + for a little design rapid fire Q&A! Completely unprepared, no idea what was coming, just honest thoughts in the moment.

Such a fun afternoon!
Get to know me, my design perspective, how I think, and a bit more about who I am behind it all.

This is an accessible bathroom.
We recently finished this project with .collingwood for a local client who needed an accessible bathroom, without it looking like one.

Custom cabinetry with pocket doors slides away to conceal what’s happening below, paired with a removable base and soft, layered lighting throughout. Hidden cabinetry, strategically placed niches, and thoughtful clearances were all designed quietly into the space.

If your bathroom no longer fits your life, does it really need to look like it does?

There is a lot taking shape behind the scenes.

“What does a designer actually do?”
It’s a question I get a lot.

Design isn’t just about picking finishes or choosing a nice color. It’s about structure, flow, movement, alignment, light, and mood. It’s planning, sourcing, detailing, reviewing, revising, and translating needs into physical form. It’s understanding how a space should feel, and making hundreds of decisions to get it there.

Is this what it looks like behind the scenes?
Sort of. This was for a photo shoot. In real life, it’s a lot messier, just like life. There would be more laptops open, samples everywhere, stacks of notes, and about five different coffees on the table.

But the core of the work is always the same: concept development, layout refinement, spatial planning, material exploration, and coordination. Every piece is chosen with intention. Every detail considered before a single thing is built.

I’m planning a little Q&A this week, so if you’re curious about the design process, send me a DM or leave a question in the comments. I’ll be answering a few in stories.

Sometimes the spaces that aren’t the main event end up stealing the show!
This bathroom came together toward the end of the project while we were finishing up the rest of the house. Even though it wasn’t the primary focus, we still made thoughtful decisions that transformed this smaller space into something really special.

Those porcelain tiles on the walls literally feel like soft clouds. The whole space went from just another bathroom to this calm, hotel like retreat that you actually want to spend time in.

Here’s the thing. Bathroom transformations don’t have to break the bank or require massive square footage. Sometimes the smallest rooms become the most special ones when you get the details right. We matched the flooring to the vanity to create this seamless, continuous look because we didn’t want to break up the space. That perfect round mirror, the black fixtures, it all just works together.

Proof that even the spaces we initially overlook can become the ones that make the biggest impact.

Who wants to see the before?!

Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦
As someone who was born and raised in South Africa, becoming a Canadian citizen was one of the most meaningful moments in my life. This country has given me safety, opportunities, and the space to build a life that feels full and honest. I’ve found community here, real friendships, and a rhythm that feels like home.
I’m proud to raise my son here, to grow my business here, and to add my story, voice, and roots to this beautiful and diverse country. Sometimes freezing, yes, but always welcoming.

Canada is not perfect, but it has been good to us, and I don’t take that for granted.
