One of my favourite things about laser engraving is seeing what can be created on completely different materials.

This flower is engraved inside the crystal, giving it an almost floating appearance when you look through the block.

I've been experimenting with more crystal engraving lately, and I love how something so simple can become such a beautiful keepsake.

There are so many possibilities with this technique — flowers, meaningful images, special memories and personalized designs.

I'm curious — what would you have engraved in crystal?

There are some Christmas ornaments that aren't really about Christmas at all.

They're about what happened that year.

A first home. A wedding. A new baby. Someone special joining the family.

Those are the ornaments that get unpacked years later and immediately bring you back to that moment.

One of the things I love most about custom work is taking an idea for a special day and turning it into something that can be kept long after the celebration is over.

This wooden wedding guest book was created for Ashley & Stephen, with individual hearts for their guests to sign and add to the frame.

A guest book, a keepsake and a little piece of their wedding day all in one. 🤍

Getting ready for Christmas at the Glacier has officially started!

There is a lot happening behind the scenes at SLC right now — cutting, engraving, ordering supplies, testing new ideas and trying to figure out just how much I can possibly fit into an 8' x 20' booth. 😂

Over the next couple of months, I'll be sharing more of the process and giving you some sneak peeks at what I'm working on.

Some things will be familiar SLC favourites, and there are definitely a few new things coming too.

Now I just need to resist the urge to make every idea that pops into my head...

A little Christmas at the Glacier sneak peek...

The ornament collection is going to be a big part of my booth this year, and I've been working on lots of designs for family, new babies, weddings, new homes, pets, memorials and all those little moments we want to remember.

You'll be able to choose from different designs and finishes, with personalization available on many of them.

And this is only the beginning — I have a lot more to show you between now and October!

We're going to Christmas at the Glacier!

I'm so excited to share that Silver Lining Creations NL will be at Christmas at the Glacier this October.

I'll be bringing along lots of SLC favourites, including personalized gifts, Christmas ornaments, keepsakes and a few things I'm especially excited to show you.

I'll also be doing some personalization right at the show, so you'll be able to make your gift a little more personal while you're there.

There's a lot happening behind the scenes between now and October 21, and I'll be sharing some sneak peeks as everything comes together.

This one has been sitting with me for a little while lately.

“What if I fall?
Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?”

Sometimes we spend so much time wondering what could go wrong that we forget to wonder what might happen if it all works out.

It felt like the perfect quote for a journal — and of course, I had to give it a little Newfoundland touch.

I think this one might be staying with me. 🤍
