Bring this back! Human interaction is so important
Do you remember a time when neighbors stopped by for a cuppa coffee, and often they would bring a coffee cake or some other treat to go along with the coffee or tea?
The coffee klatch was very popular in mid-century America. Housewives, would gather at each other's homes over coffee and homemade treats like cookies or cake, discussing everyday life and neighborhood happenings. Coffee klatches helped housewives avoid social isolation in the newly developing suburban areas.
Essentially, the coffee klatch was a way for women in mid-century America to connect, socialize, and build community, centered around the simple pleasure of coffee and conversation.
