There was plenty of square footage in this kitchen — it just wasn’t working hard enough.
By rethinking the layout, we eliminated wasted floor space, in the centre of the kitchen.
We introduced a central island for prep, serving, and casual seating.
We added a beverage centre, a coffee bar, and a wine fridge.
We increased storage with an additional wall of pantry and appliances. (pics to come)
Improved lighting at every layer; decorative and task lighting.
Repaired and refinished the original wood floors
Update cabinetry with a soft cream colour and functional interior accessories
Updated appliances throughout for a fresh, sophisticated look.

The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, more functional, and far better suited for entertaining with family and friends, for this young couple.

When you can't afford, or have the space for, a La Cornue, AGA, or Lacanche European range, but want the look on a budget.
We addressed it by creating a colour block in this kitchen, using updated appliance tech.
The dazzling red custom paint colour, a client favourite, creates this striking focal point, breaking up this all-white kitchen.

On International Women’s Day, I’m reflecting on the journey of building Sheridan Interiors. Swipe through to see the philosophy behind the work we do at Sheridan Interiors.

Interior design is often seen as a creative profession — and it is — but behind every successful project is leadership, problem-solving, and the confidence to guide complex renovations from concept to completion.

As a woman working at the intersection of design, construction, and project management, the male-dominated industry has not always been readily accepting. Over the years, though, I have proven myself worthy of their respect, raised a few eyebrows, and made myself heard. That's one GIANT step for some very SMALL construction boots haha.

I’m proud to help homeowners transform their homes into ones that truly support how they live, entertain, and gather with family and friends, and I’m grateful for the incredible clients, trades, and collaborators who trust me with their homes. The lasting friendships mean the world to me!!.

I'm also incredibly grateful for my community of women who support and inspire me, sometimes from afar, and who support each other. I've watched you, learned from you, and have grown because of you. So thank you♥!!

And to the many women building businesses, leading teams, and shaping their communities — I see you and celebrate you.🎉

It's in the Details...curved walls vs. corners❌. An awkward corner is no more. We had to have this fluted paneling custom-milled for it to follow the concave, newly designed curved wall. Insets for TV and distinguish this condo from the rest in the building. Project reveal coming soon!

*You don't need a design vocabulary.

*You don't need to know exactly what you want - yet

An investment is lived! When a renovation is approached without the right plan, the right layout, or the right materials, it stops being an investment and starts becoming an expensive lesson. ie: cost

The difference between a “cost” and an “investment” often comes down to the choices made early: layout, flow, finishes, durability, and the details that are difficult (and expensive) to correct later.
Partnering with a professional designer brings clarity before money is committed, so the result holds up — visually, practically, and emotionally— for years to come.

Good design isn’t about spending more; it’s about spending well.
It’s about making the right decisions early, so the investment pays off long after the project is finished.
