Here is one of my winter 2025 projects.
It’s a Mobile Chicken Tractor.
Weighs about 80 pounds and it’s way easier that all the other chicken tractors I have made.
The idea is to keep the chickens in this unit and move them regularly to have fresh grass on the field.
It’s self contained and easy to maintain.
Some of the parts are: Boeing Vertol CH-113 Labrador. Explore windows.
AgustaWestland CH-149 Cormorant. Tail rotor torque links for the main wheel linkage.
Awing from the old The Views seniors home. Cut in half then welded together.
Driftwood from Goose Spit. Swing and roosts.
Drawer slides from someone’s kitchen.
Aluminum checker plate from a truck tailgate.
Piece of left over greenhouse plastic.
Plastic nest boxes from a previous chicken tractor.
We are getting poulets tomorrow to put in the chicken tractor.
The chickens always take a couple of days to adjust.
Hope they like this one.
