starting things with the potential of having it be a complete flop is hard on the ol system eh? One thing I have told myself and this eases that feeling, is, what’s the worst that can happen?

The worst that could happen is calling it quits. Too overwhelmed by the big dairy animal that needs twice a day milking? Well I COULD sell it on the weekend.

The precious seeds I started from scratch on my window sill? Yes they could die. But at the cost of some time and some hopes, other than that I’ll be ok!

Bought a new house that needs major renos? Worst that could happen is you might end up selling it before it’s complete.

The worst that could happen, is missing out on joy because of fear holding myself back.

The best that could happen is being brave and stepping out of a comfort zone. Bravery involves the knowledge of risk and going ahead anyway.

leaking washers and fly p**p on windows and hair getting caught in fly tape above my counter top. Gotta have the yuk to make the good so good.

a dog that kills my chickens and now turkeys. But we mostly love her, silly goose. How can life be so big? It’s incredible. Most incredible is the hunger and satisfaction inside to create new things on this planet, to add uniqueness and original art when SHEIN and temu have a bazillion shipping containers in the ocean heading over here as we speak.

If it wasn’t for them, maybe painstaking ins and outs of needles and inspiration and joy over handmade slow art wouldn’t be quite so special but it’s special I tell ya.

Here’s to all you lovelies who along with me adore being surrounded by genuine things not made in factories & life that isn’t perfect.
