By+Large Studios By+Large Studios is a full service Interior Design firm. By+Large Studios is a full service Interior Design firm, founded by Susan Stott and Jaime Black.

The term ‘by and large’ stems from an old sailing term. To sail by and large is to sail a wind that is all consuming. Sailing by and large takes a skilled sailor, just as comprehensive design takes a skilled designer. As highly trained design professionals the two pride themselves on creating spaces that link art, graphics, objects and technology in a meaningful and unforgettable way.

Introducing one of our newest multi-residential projects: The Marlstone.

We’re starting with the lobby - the first impression and the first feeling of home. Inspired by the natural landscapes of Nova Scotia, this space brings warmth, texture, and a sense of calm into the heart of the city.

Stay tuned for more from this project coming soon ✨

Not your average work trip✨

Last month we had the opportunity to be hosted by Cosentino at their HQ in Spain with an incredible group of industry professionals. We were given a behind the scenes look at the full lifecycle of their products, from their innovation labs to their factories.

Safe to say we’re bringing some Spanish inspiration back home with us 🇪🇸

We may have been quiet on here, but the work hasn’t stopped.

To mark our return, we’re revisiting a highlight from 2025 - our AIDA Award of Merit winning space, Pazzo Ristorante.

We’re excited to share a closer look at how we blended old-world Italian charm with modern sensibility to create an elevated dining experience.
