Just letting everyone out there know, Laurie's first Sweater Pattern is now available on Ravelry - Fireside Cabin Pullover. For those that have joined the KAL (Knit Along) at The Yarn Merchant, you're the first to knit this wonderful sweater ahead of the pattern's public release!

It's a bottom-up knit! A great and fun knit for first time sweater knitters to the most seasoned knitters. The pattern suggests Katia Canada, King Cole Big Value Super Chunky Solid and Estelle Yarns Eco Scandinavian Bulky (5-6 wpi)

It's a Brimmed Hat, which can be knit with yarns like Garnstudio DROPS Air or Estele Yarns Alpaca Drift (Bulky yarns 7wpi) - Unisex pattern, add a pompom or don't choice is yours!

The best news on this pattern, it's free for the first week! So, go to Ravelry and download before the price goes up! Also, check back at her store for more patterns to come!

We just wanted to let everyone one know that we will not be holding Knit Lab this Saturday as we will be in Calgary for Knit City 2026.

The store is open it's regular hours for the weekend - Friday & Saturday 11-4 and Sunday 12-4

The Knit Lab will resume next Saturday at it's regular time, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
For those who don't know what The Knit Lab is... We host knitters at our table, who may have some questions about patterns, techniques, or have run into unforeseen challenges in their knitting.... Also, it's a time where you can just come with your coffee and sit and knit with others!
