🌸🌦️☔️I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend! I know it rained for most of it, here in the Hamilton area anyway, but it was still lovely to have some down-time. The one thing that you can always bet on with Canada Day long weekend, is that you will never be able to predict the weather… every year it’s something different - but we’re Canadian, and this is just part of the deal! 🥶🥵😎🇨🇦🧡

🖤🌿It was a bit sad to take this one down, but it was time to de-staged this condo today.
Now… I don’t like to play favourites, because each property is SO unique and I put 100% into every single project, but sometimes, it just all comes together so nicely, that I can’t help but 🖤 it a little extra!

🍂🥂🎊I could not let October pass by without acknowledging that it was 15 years ago, October 2007, that I started DAZYS COLLECTION.
15 years ago, when my youngest was about 1 ½ years old, and I had been on a self-imposed career pause, I decided that it was time for me to get back to what I loved to do and turn what I had a skill-set for, from my days in fashion design, into a business.
I needed to create!
I started DAZYS COLLECTION and offered my services to make custom window coverings and drapery, custom home accents like throw pillows of every kind, and even upholstery.
Doing this work quickly pulled me into the world of interior decor, styling and design, which I had always had a passion for!
I started out slowly, taking on jobs and clients at a steady pace, trying to balance my responsibilities with two young kids, but as my kids grew, and became more independent I gave myself the green light to go full steam ahead, and I haven’t looked back.
This little business of mine has given me the freedom to be creative, and to work with and meet the most wonderful, like-minded, people. Every project is unique and I can honestly say that I love decorating and styling peoples homes and I look forward to many exciting projects in the future!
Oh, and I may have mentioned this before, and this is something that I get asked quite often… in case you ever wondered what DAZYS means... well, it’s an acronym for my family members names.
Just a little personal meaning in my busy day-to-day business world! 🍂

I mean, you wouldn’t go out to a special event without getting cleaned up and dressed up to make a good impression… would you? 👘👔👗
