This happens every year! I use fresh-cut red twig dogwood in my Christmas planters, they root by spring and voila! Free plants! Has anyone else had their Christmas decor root?

Woooooo it’s coming along! Chopping back your type 3 clematis in early spring leads to more blooms on a healthier plant. Look up your clematis type and if you find your clematis has been leggy with not a lot of blooms, try doing the chop next year!

Obviously, I should have left one stem as is for the sake of comparison 🤦🏻‍♀️ What kind of scientist am I?! I do have many photos and videos from previous years so I’ll just have to go by those. Stay tuned!

Nothing is more satisfying than getting the whole root of a dandelion. NOTHING.

I haven’t been on vacation so you’re forced to watch this slideshow instead 🤣

My rule of thumb is to remove the chicken wire when dandelions are in full force. By now, they have lots of juicy, tender options to eat and are not as interested in shrub stems as they are in the winter. To me, this means spring is NOW actually here!

So brave! 🤣

A slow start and another couple of cold nights to come 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I’m always amazed at how fast everything grows once we’re out of these May cold snaps. Again, I’ve mentioned this has been a weird growing season for me since we added the greenhouse well after I had winter sown sprouts, and since I had that weird mishap with the crazy early rain flooding my winter sowing. So I’ll get through this growing season and have my act together next year!
