These three dishes are honestly my go-to whenever I’m hosting friends or having a family gathering, they never miss. I also love recommending them for elegant wedding buffets because they bring that perfect balance of comfort and sophistication.
We start with juicy boneless barbecue chicken thighs, grilled just right with a rich, smoky flavor. Then there’s the macarona with béchamel, layers of pasta, seasoned ground beef, and a creamy, golden sauce that everyone always comes back for. And finally, the Chicken Mandi. ( or lamb Mandi) … a beautiful Saudi classic. Tender boneless chicken thighs served over basmati rice cooked with an aromatic blend of spices and saffron, with potatoes, carrots, and a mix of dried apricots, prunes, raisins, and cranberries, all finished with buttery toasted almonds. It’s truly a full meal in one dish.
On the side, a fresh garden salad with a simple olive oil and lemon dressing adds the perfect light, refreshing balance.
And to finish, nothing beats a warm cup of Egyptian tea, it’s the perfect way to bring everything together.
