WIP Wednesday

I've decided to start a knitted project🥰. This is made using "double knitting" i'm working both the front and back at the same time. Both sides will have the same images except the colors will be reversed. I've wanted to try it for awhile but was always intimidated by the videos. It isn't perfect but i'm enjoying the process.

Amigurumay Day 9 : Weekend WIP

Another weekend out waiting for my son to finish classes. Starting a new project (1 of many🫣). For days like this i enjoy projects that don't require many items. No stuffing, no stitch markers. 1 yarn and 1 hook. I didn't even bring my scissors🥰.

This project will hopefully turn into a plain tote bag which i can cross stitch images on at the end. I've uses this technique previously for coin purses(2nd picture.

Amigurumay Day 8 : My Signature

Whether i'm creating a pattern, testing a pattern or just love a pattern. I will make it in multiple sizes using different yarn and hooks.

It's fun to see how the shapes change. When using thick plush yarn it can appear more blob/squishy because of the stretch.
Vs
When using thin yarn which is usually more stiff and able to show the shapes better.

Amigurumay Day 7: Market or Collect

I'm unsure which I would pick🤔. I enjoy making and participating in markets. I also enjoy making some items for myself and my kiddo to keep.

But I think the more accurate option would be "Love". Love of the craft. Love of creating. Love of the joy I see on the faces when i've created the perfect custom piece for someone. Not every piece will be perfection for everyone, but as long as that one person feels joy when they hold their plush, doll, blanket, etc😍.

Amigurumay Day 4: Introduce Yourself

Hi😊, i'm Victoria the face behind If Nan Knit Ya. My main craft is crochet, i do knit occassionally as well. If you follow along you'll probably see some other craft related things sneak in from time to time.
I've always enjoyed freehanding items so last year i started writing down and selling my patterns on etsy. This has led me down a road where i've met so many wonderful makers. 🥰

**Mini Monday** Book/Tablet Sleeve

I'm a day late but I still wanted to share the final post in this series. I love how it came out. I usually don't get to make or finish items for myself. That makes this one extra special🥰.

I added a border around the squares to get a 12" x 12" larger square. I was just a little shy of the measurement with just the squares. Then I SC 3 corners together. On the top flap corner I made 2 strings for tying. 1 long enough to wrap around + extra, and the 2nd one a 1/3 of the length. This way i can tie a nice bow to hold it close.
