Todays updates.
1) THIS is the Ash bowl with the Malibu Blue Resin Rim. Topped up the resin a little bit as it had been partially absorbed into the wood.
2) Added some Dragon Red and Malibu Blue Resin into these Olive Charcuterie Boards.
3) First coat on the Apple Wood Charcuterie Board is done. I may have to resend it tomorrow, because I'm not happy with how it looks right now, but this one will be ready for the Salisbury Farmers' Market on Thursday.
For the record I use food safe resin, and when it is fully cured the boards and bowl will have a high end food safe finish on them.

Today's updates.
1) The Dragon Red Resin Apple wood Charcuterie Board. Is almost completely cured. Tomorrow or Wednesday I will have it sanded, non skid feet added, and Osmo applied. Just in time for it to be on my Etsy, and at Salisbury Farmers' Market on Thursday, or at Bless the Maker.
2) I turned an Ash bowl today and just like yesterday's Sapele Bowl i turned a groove into the rim, and added Malibu Blue Resin to the groove. The picture is not the one I turned, but it is another one I found online. Lol
3) With Thanksgiving and XMas coming up I am asking for pre-orders so everyone can get stuff on time, and beforehand. A deposit of 50% is required please.
4) I have no idea what tomorrow will bring, but it should be interesting. Lol

Tonight's work.
1st. The Sapele Bowl was turned tonight and I did something I've wanted to do for awhile. This one will come with a Dragon Red inlay along the rim.
2nd.
I added some for Dragon Red resin to the Chaos Bowl too top it up, and
3rd. The next Charcuterie Board is coming along nicely. The surface is hardened, but not yet fully cured.
Out of these three the Charcuterie Board will probably be the first that will be good to go (GTG) for the Salisbury Farmers' Market on Thursday.
However, because there is so little resin used the Sapele bowl could be GTG on Thursday too. Time will tell.

The latest, and most beautiful bowl yet (ignore the paper towel it is still curing). This is a Purpleheart decor bowl, and will be the ideal centre piece for any home. It IS NOT safe for wet foods due to the finish. Covered foods (wrapped candy, nuts with shells etc) can be put in it, potpourri, pinecones, etc can be put in it. The finish is meant to protect the purpleheart and keep its colour for years.

See you all tomorrow at the Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market. I will be at the area closest to Credo Coffee on 104 st. The Market begins at 10 am and runs until 3, so get there early and get the best stuff, play some corn hole, and listen to great local artists singing. It will be a beautiful day.

Next up.
A couple of Resin and wood bowls.
In the charcuterie tray is Apple Wood and Dragon Red resin, and in the pressure pot is a chaos bowl of Cottonwood, Apple, Walnut Burl and Dragon Red Resin. I used AI to simulate what both COULD look like. It is going to look cool.

This Purpleheart bowl is now up on my Etsy for $110.
It is handmade, and food safe with a food safe finish. This beautiful Purpleheart Bowl will be the perfect accent to any home.
Please be aware. Purpleheart is quite dense and difficult to turn without marking. It is also heavier than similarity sized bowls due to that density.

Aaaaand today's progress.
Chess board is in it's final glue up stage. It will be ready to be finished tomorrow.
Apple Wood Charcuterie Board ( https://reddevilwoodwork.etsy.com ) is done and has had Osmo Polywax added. This will be at Bless the Maker in a few days (to allow the Osmo to fully cure). This board is made with food safe resin (Magic Resin Deep Pour) and finishe (Osmo Clear 3043). It has non skid feet and the Malibu Blue pigment is almost see through in the correct lighting. For those that dont know Osmo Clear Polywax is a natural food safe hardwax and is one of the premiere food safe finishes on the market.
The price for this board will be $150.

Quick update. This week's plans of items that will be finished (AI was used for the main images, but the items are from actual pictures.
The Apple Wood and resin Charcuterie Board will be finished with non slip feet, Osmo Hardwax and will be 100% food safe. The price for this will be $150.
The new bowl will be made from a Purpleheart blank. It is at the 90% mark and will probably be done tomorrow. It to will be foodsafe with Osmo Hardwax. Price for this one will in the $100-$150 range. Purpleheart is incredibly beautiful, but it is quite dense and takes a lot more to make it which is why it is expensive.
I will most likely have both at the Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market on Saturday.
(PS. I don't have a website and project 1 is NOT a Replica LAV 3. I'm not that good. LOL)

So the Grand Opening of Bless the Maker was pretty good. Sold this piece of Box car lumber tray to a lady whose grandfather worked on the rail during the Depression. I am actually sad to see it go, because it was the first one and it is beautiful. However, it is going to a lady that wants it, and it is personal to her.
So it was a great day. :)
