Whew! Just finished a 4 day M**o (mosaic focus) styled workshop here at Kemporium; I can’t thank everybody enough for their attendance. We were challenged and learned lots, toured city mosaics, and created an amazing body of work. To the original creator of M**o, Kelley Knickerbocker of Seattle, I can’t thank you enough for your support in this endeavour.

UPDATE: due to circumstances beyond our control, this course is postponed. It’ll be rescheduled for later in the summer, dates TBA.

Kemporium Art Space is offering a mosaic paving stone class the weekend of June 6/7, 10-4 each day. The cost is $150 with materials included. This class is suitable for all levels. If you’d like to register or get more information, please PM us.

Have you been thinking about taking a Margo Anton Mosaics class in Edmonton? Kemporium is offering a new (to us) Margo class, Texture in Mosaics. Many of us rely on colour to add interest to our mosaics, forgetting that texture is a useful tool to expand that interest. Margo will lead us through this experience as only she can, with professionalism, experience, and humour. You don’t want to miss this!

The class is on April 11&12 and the cost is $300 + $40.00 materials fee. There are only 2 spots left, so if this speaks to you, contact me before your spot is gone!

Join us for a beginner mosaic class! 5 evenings from 6:30 - 9:00, starting March 31. The artists at Kemporium Art Space will guide you through from design to grout, giving you the skills to go further within the ancient art of mosaics. The cost is $200.00 + $40 materials fee. This includes your substrate, all tesserae, adhesives, and grout. A $100 deposit is required to hold your space. Maximum capacity is 6 students. Send me a message or email if interested.
