๐Ÿšจ You donโ€™t want to miss this EMF x Secret Walls Paint Battle on September 5th. Edmonton Mural Festival x Secret Walls โ€ผ๏ธ

This isnโ€™t your average paint battle! ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŽจ The teams are set. Itโ€™s a 3 vs 3 match up, all fun and games but each team has 90 minutes to flex their skills on a massive wall. Losing team gets executed on site.โ˜ ๏ธ This is an all ages event.

Come watch the chaos unfold as we navigate the pressure with little planning, lots of teamwork, and a touch of creativity.

OLD STRATHCONA EDMONTON MURAL & FOOD TOUR ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ˜‹

Such a lovely time working with the Edmonton Mural Festival (EMF) to organize and lead tours for the fourth annual fest which is on now until September 15! More than a dozen new murals will be added to the city this year as part of EMF.

Our Old Strathcona tour took us in and around Whyte Ave. and ended on the Edmonton Fringe grounds. We stopped at a dozen murals, met, chatted with and watched two artists paint live (Josh Harnack and Andrรฉa Schmidt), and we supported three local businesses with food from Remedy Cafe, flipsidebbqyeg, and Yelo'd! Everyone also took home an Old Strathcona Business Association Mural Map to return for some self-guided local art fun in the neighbourhood.

There are two tours remaining: Shop 124 Street & Area on August 30 (almost sold out) + Edmonton Downtown on September 3. Tickets have just launched for a Paint Battle & Block Party on Sept. 5 as well!

Social media has convinced everyone that making art is sexy, and artists spend all day making art.

In reality, half the job is setting up a camera, pretending you forgot it was there, or running around like an idiot and then checking to see if you actually hit record. And FYI, I did not. ๐Ÿ˜‘
