There have been many moments when I’ve questioned whether I have the courage to do what I feel called to do.

The unanswered emails. The closed doors. The vulnerability of putting something deeply personal into the world and wondering if anyone will see what I see.

The hardest part hasn’t been the work. It’s been learning to be seen. To risk rejection and keep believing, even when the response is silence.

But whenever fear creeps in, I return to why I started.

HauteCoton was born from a health scare that changed the way I viewed my health, my home, and the everyday products we surround ourselves with.

I became deeply aware of the importance of reducing harmful exposures and creating a home that doesn’t just look beautiful, but truly nurtures our well-being.

What began as a personal journey became something much bigger. A mission to inspire more conscious choices, meaningful rest, and a more intentional way of living.

Along the way, this path has opened doors I never imagined, brought extraordinary people into my life, and given me a profound sense of gratitude.

But perhaps the greatest gift has been discovering that my purpose isn’t simply to create beautiful things. It’s to be of service. To make even a small difference in how someone lives, rests, or cares for themselves.

The fear of rejection hasn’t disappeared. But I’m learning that purpose can be greater than fear.

I still don’t know exactly where this journey will lead, but I know why I’m walking it.

I don’t just want to build something successful. I want to build something that matters.

And I believe we’re only beginning. 🤍

There have been so many moments when I’ve questioned whether I have the courage to do what I feel called to do.

The unanswered emails. The doors that quietly closed. The vulnerability of putting something so deeply personal into the world and wondering if anyone will see what you see.

And perhaps the hardest part has never been the work itself.

It’s been learning to be seen.

To put myself out there. To risk rejection. To keep believing in something even when the response is silence.

But every time fear begins to take over, I come back to why I started.

HauteCoton was born out of a health scare that changed the way I looked at my life.

It made me question things I had once taken for granted. The importance of our health. The environments we surround ourselves with. The choices we make every day, often without giving them a second thought.

And perhaps most importantly, what it really means to live well.

I began to see home differently.

Not simply as a place to make beautiful, but as a place that should nurture us. Restore us. Offer us peace from a world that asks so much of us.

I began to understand that rest isn’t an indulgence. It’s essential.

And that true luxury isn’t about how much we have, but how deeply we experience the life we’ve been given.

What started as a deeply personal journey slowly became a desire to create something that could serve others.

Something that might inspire people to be more intentional about their homes, their well-being, and the way they move through the world.

I never imagined the doors this path would open. The extraordinary people I would meet. The conversations, the opportunities, or the ways this journey would continue to heal me and simultaneously stretch me beyond what feels comfortable.

I am immensely grateful for all of it.

Even the closed doors.

Because somewhere along the way, I’ve come to understand that this was never simply about building a business.

It’s about a mission that feels much bigger than me.

And almost 10 years later…I believe we’re only beginning.

And yet, most of us spend more time thinking about what goes on our skin than what we sleep in every single night.

Last month we gathered for an immersive afternoon centered on renewal, connection, and intentional living. Together, we explored practices that support overall well-being, cared for our bodies, shared meaningful conversations, and created space to pause, reflect, and simply be.

At HauteCoton, we believe wellness extends far beyond a single moment of rest. Our mission is to inspire healthier, more mindful living by helping people cultivate rituals that support both restorative sleep and everyday well-being. Through experiences that encourage presence, self-care, movement, nourishment, and connection, we aim to empower individuals to care for themselves in ways that are sustainable and meaningful.

What we do during our waking hours shapes the quality of our rest. When we move through the day with mindfulness, presence, and purpose, our nervous systems begin to soften. Our minds quiet. Our bodies release what they have been carrying. And in that softness, deeper rest becomes possible.
