Have you ever wandered into the pines and felt a profound peace—a sense of connection to yourself and the natural world? Walking across the forest floor, you begin to shed the stresses of daily life, embracing serenity with each step.
These moments of connection are ones I often find in nature, and I’ve learned to capture that feeling through the way I adorn myself. Becoming intentional about the jewellery pieces and clothing I wear has become my ritual—a way to draw in clarity, wisdom, strength, or whatever I need to embrace the day. My journey began with the first crystal piece I ever invested in. It was during a difficult time, and I attended a spiritual event in Winnipeg with one simple intention: to find what I needed.
I wandered through various booths, had my cards read, and eventually met a jewellery artist. As we talked about her creations, she looked at me and asked, "What are you needing?" Her question perfectly aligned with my own intention, and I found myself sharing my need for rose quartz—a stone of love and healing. She smiled warmly and promised to create something just for me.
A few weeks later, I picked up a beautiful rose quartz choker. That piece became my daily ritual. Each morning, I would open its box, place it around my neck, and imagine a comforting embrace from my mom, drawing in her love and support. It became my act of self-love, a connection to what I needed most.
