Tulip season is here and I’ve got tulip bundles ready for this weeks TULIP subscribers!

💛Featuring Ice king daffodils that gently soften in their colour as they age and reveal their ruffly inside complimented by the double tulip Exotic Emperor.

I love harvesting tulips in the morning. The air is crisp and the tulips are just starting to bud up and show their colour. Tulips as cut flowers are dug up, bulb in tact, to get the longest stem possible. I also cut when the colour is just budding through to give you the longest vase life possible. Tulips will continue to grow in length in your vase - what a wonder they are!

Enjoy every moment in your gardens this weekend and time with family and friends.

Weekend Surprise to welcome all Spring Bulb Subscribers! 🪻

The first of my Hyacinths bloomed from the garden this weekend and the scent…pure bliss! Once you smell a hyacinth in bloom, you never forget it 💕 You’ll notice too that they are cut with the bulb intact to give a bit more stem length.

Lisianthus are a true labor of love 🌸💗 I start these microscopic seeds in January under grow lights in my growing room (aka the laundry room) and tend to them for weeks, often feeling like I’m just misting trays of soil. Then, after nearly a month, the tiniest green specks appear & that patience pays off.

They continue to grow slowly and love the cool weather. I’ll plant them out to the garden before our last frost in May to grow on. And when those ruffled, romantic rose like blooms finally arrive, every careful misting, every week of waiting, is worth it. Flower farming constantly reminds me that the most beautiful things simply can’t be rushed 🌸
