1. The choices of fabrics never end and I always find one more to love.

2. Coffee and lint are a perfect pair

3. Threading an industrial overlock machine will require more patience than I’ll have if a thread breaks, because it’s always on the last pillow of the day.

4. I have opinions about zippers vs invisible zippers on most pillows for the way people actually use them.

5. Sewing velvet is still not my favourite but give the people what they want.

6. I’m not a fan of the big box trend that started with confusing people about what size pillow inserts they need instead of just fitting them properly to standard inserts.

7. Some people fall so deeply for a fabric they keep the same pillow for ten+ years and come back to show you how great it still is and make you proud to be apart of their home.

8. I can still remember the names of those 10 year old pillows.

9. An idea with a second hand sewing machine to make extra money while you’re a dental hygienist can turn into an entire retail store if you aren’t careful

Another round of vintage vestibule with this weeks star

A wicker fishing creel. Collecting vintage is about collecting stories and I’m sure this basket has a few to tell about quiet peaceful days down by the stream

Marked on the top British Hong Kong in origin it could have been made anywhere up to 1997.

It’s interesting to learn the use of things and where they were made. It’s so many factors coming together for the goods we choose for our home decor

I’ve loved these vintage baskets for years and this one is especially nice with all the original leather straps and buckles.

It seems most days like my job is about 30% treasure hunting and 70% cleaning someone else’s history.

Maybe wiggle the numbers to add dealing with shipping dynamics too 😉

A huge load of antiques has just been scrubbed up for the shop and I’m excited for everyone to find that special piece to bring home.

Watch the online shop for new pieces sourced from the European countryside in the coming weeks

Your couch is calling for pillows and you like a discount as much as the next person and you want it on good stuff, made by real people in a real business where you can see or know the people that work there?

This is the place.

Comment PILLOW on this reel and the sale details are coming right to your messages including the secret deal that only you are getting here because you were so kind to comment. The real sale starts Tuesday for all to see on our website but, the deal on pillows for the next 3 days is sweeter and you have the inside scoop.

So go ahead, comment PILLOW and get that couch, your bed, the chair looking the way it should. Tell the dog he has a little less space in the corner because you got new pillows to chop baby!

Another week of vintage goodness here on Meg’s vintage vestibule.

This week our green hotelware that is always so popular.

I hunt to find every piece I can and I am excited to say we have found a wonderful reproduction company that allows you to add more pieces to your collection to use at home in addition to your vintage pieces.

The originals are mainly from England and are perfectly usable in your home, run through the dishwasher and put through the paces like you’re running your own kitchen line.

We have more styles on the way and I hope you love them as much as me.

I’m loving this find of these vintage shaving mugs. Highly collectible and with a great look for the eclectic displayed home.

Enjoy this informational tidbit about my favourite item this week and the rest of our new arrivals online for our weekly drop.
