A client put this image together for us yesterday for our Anniversary...hard to believe we're only 2 years away from the big 2-0.
What I've learned after 18 years of marriage is that you don't need to celebrate milestones large to make the day count. This especially comes into play when you run an incredibly busy small business and your wife is launching a brand new and highly anticipated Bakehouse & Cafe. (check out The Ville Bakehouse & Cafe)
When people asked if we did anything special for our BIG day, they may be intrigued or even surprised that we actually spent the day working. I spent the day out in my shop, like every day, building pieces for clients, while Lady SPP spent time putting together a fire safety plan for the new Cafe and also took advantage of some good friends who spent a few hours with her, teaching her how to use her new espresso machine, but we did take 30 minutes to stop, enjoy a dinner and watch a quick show together.
That 30 minutes was the best part of my day, because Adele is the best part of my life.
When you marry your soul mate, you get to celebrate your anniversary every day, 365 days a year, even if it's just in 30 minute increments.
Happy Anniversary Babe (one day late, obviously)
Cheers,
SPP
