Looks unusual, but this is exactly how professionals cut laminated safety glass.

Laminated glass contains a durable plastic interlayer between two sheets of glass. After the glass is scored, controlled heat is used to melt the interlayer so the pieces can separate cleanly.

This specialized technique requires experience, precision, and a thorough understanding of the material.
