I've been struggling with whether or not I should post, and how exactly to do it for the last week and a bit.
First, I want to say thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Canada Day market to say hi, play with all the fidgets, or buy a few things to take home. I really appreciate you all, and I could not do it without you! I love seeing the smiles on everyone's faces, and the pure delight when someone finds exactly the right creature or fidget that just has to come home with them.
As much joy as I got to see on Canada Day, I ended up so incredibly disappointed after doing inventory following the market. I had several animals, fidgets, and even one of my dragon book counters stolen at the market.
I do my best to keep my prices low enough that everyone can find something they will enjoy. Theft makes it harder to do that as the loss has to be covered somewhere. While this is my hobby and not my full time job, these losses hurt deeply. Every single item represents hard work, material costs, and my time and energy. It is incredibly discouraging to have that devalued when someone takes my work without paying for it.
To everyone who stopped by to genuinely support, chat, and buy—thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the reason I keep going. 💜
And to end on a happy note, here are some of the prints I have finished painting this week. The silvery filament is hard to photograph, but it has a really neat holographic look to it!
