Current advisories indicate our area could see severe storms today or tonight, including strong winds, large hail, and the potential for tornadoes. It's a good opportunity to take a few simple precautions and stay weather aware.

In case a storm arrives, consider:
• Bringing in or securing patio furniture, umbrellas, trampolines, and other loose outdoor items.
• Closing windows, sunroofs, and garage doors.
• Moving vehicles into a garage or under cover if hail is possible.
• Charging your phone and other essential devices.

If you're planning to spend time outdoors or attend an event, have a plan to move indoors or to a sturdy shelter if conditions change or a warning is issued.

Keep an eye on forecasts throughout the day. Monitor Environment and Climate Change Canada for watches and warnings, and Alberta Emergency Alert for any emergency notifications if conditions become severe.

After a few passes… you start to see it 🐻🧵

This quilt has the sweetest bear print—and pairing it with a bear paw pattern just felt right.

Even with computerized quilting… it’s never just “set it and walk away” 💛

The machine is doing the stitching, but I’m always right here watching how it’s running, how the thread is behaving, how everything is laying.

Because at the end of the day, it’s still a machine—and small things can go off if you’re not paying attention.

This part matters more than people realize.

It’s not just about getting a pattern onto a quilt… it’s about making sure it turns out the way it should.

This might be my favourite part to help people with 💛

The quilting is done… and then the binding sits there waiting.

(usually a little longer than planned)

I offer binding on the longarm so your quilt can go from “almost finished” to completely done—without that last step hanging over you.

There’s something really nice about handing it off and getting it back ready to use.
