🔥 One year later… this is why we love hearing from our customers.

Last year, John reached out to us looking for another way to heat his home. He already had a heat pump, but winter power bills had climbed to around $600 per month.

After looking at the home, we worked out a plan to install a wood stove and chimney system. This wasn’t the easiest location either — the ICC chimney route actually passes through a small upstairs closet before continuing through the roof. Sometimes the best solution takes a little creativity and a good installation team.

Fast-forward through the first winter.

John tells us his winter power bills dropped from roughly $600/month to around $200/month, while adding the comfort of wood heat to his home.

This year we were back for the first annual cleaning and inspection, and John left us this 5-star review:

From dated fireplace to modern wood-burning centrepiece 🔥

This one started with an existing masonry fireplace and a homeowner with a completely different vision for the room.

Out came the old fireplace.

The existing hearth was reworked, the wall prepared, and a new Stûv America 16 wood stove installed. Custom tile work was then carried right up the wall to complement the clean lines of the stove and the height of the room.

The finished result feels like it was always meant to be there.

Projects like this are about much more than installing a new stove. They take planning, problem solving and craftsmanship to bring all the pieces together — especially when you’re working within an existing home.

The homeowners had the vision. Our technicians helped bring it to life.
