Sugar Refinery Dye Works Custom yarn dyeing for weavers I started doing some dye work for Laura at Weft Coast, a Victoria babywrap weaver.

I've since started doing a small amount of custom work for other weavers. I love working from pictures and custom blending colours. I work with all plant and animal fibres, and with Procion MX dye and Ciba Acid dyes.

I haven't been posting here much lately, because I have been less focused on custom dye work and more focused on my own weaving craft. I am so excited about this dye project though. It's a collaboration with my husband Wayne, that had turned into a music/art project.
It started with Wayne taking video of me weaving, and using that to generate a noise/video project. I loved the video he produced as inspiration images, so I took some of those and used them for a warp. Now I will use this project on the loom for an upcoming show with our noise band THRUMS. I will post the inspiration in the thread.

Cottolin tea towel with dark green linen weft. I love how the speckles in the pink broke into yellows and oranges, giving the speckles so much colour complexity. I've got chocolate brown and brown speckles coming up, before I switch to hand dyed, hand spun alpaca.
