This are a snapshot of hundreds of drawings I’ve done over the past few years. A lot of the work I do is commission portrait work, which I love doing. Who wouldn’t want to share their passion with people who are equally passionate about it.

This year I hope to focus on more personal art in addition to my commission work. To explore Motherhood, aging, and the often overlooked stories in women’s lives. I would love to connect and have you come along for the journey.

You guys really seemed to love my detour into color pet portraits! Thank you for the huge response and beautiful comments.

For anyone interested, color pet portraits will now be an option for commission pet portraits. Only 8x10 will be available until I source larger color paper, but hopefully that won’t take too long.

I’m currently booking into September, so if you’re considering a Christmas gift (yeah I said it 😅), consider reaching out now to reserve a booking time slot.

I will be taking limited Christmas commissions and Christmas ornament bookings, with availability to open as I work through the bookings. I have a few other big things I’m working towards this summer/fall. I can’t wait to give you more details….

NEW PORTRAIT REVEAL

A warm, slow Saturday evening feels like the perfect time for a new portrait reveal.

Especially when the adorable baby has those eyes.

Sometimes I have people mention how the people or pets in my portraits are ‘floating’, without a background. This is intentional. Unless the background is an important part of the story, I remove it so the focus is on the most important thing, the one you love.
The rest is just noise.

NEW PORTRAIT REVEAL

This is an extra special portrait.

This is Rosie, my sisters dog. She was the sweetest soul. She loved to say hello to visitors from the top of the stairs, was so gentle with my children (even when they were less than gentle with her), and an expert Christmas gift unwrapper.

My family recently said goodbye to Rosie after discovering she had a very aggressive form of cancer. Rosie was only 8 years old.

If ever there was the right time to start working with colour, Rosie is it. She brought so much colour and love to life. She is dearly missed.

I’m trying something totally different….

COLOUR!

I am working on a little side piece and decided to play around with colour. I’m having so much fun with it but it is mentally exhausting.

I’m so comfortable with charcoal that I can draw while listening to the tv or a podcast. It’s meditative.

Colour is forcing me to focus on how and where I apply each mark.

Can’t wait to show you guys how it turns out.

Finished another commissioned dog portrait today. Hopefully I’ll get to share it with you soon.

I get such joy creating these portraits for people. I love how much they mean to the families receiving them.
