Here's how I clean a bathroom professionally in under 15 minutes — and how you can too.

The biggest mistake most people make? Wiping too soon. Your cleaner needs at least 30 seconds to actually break down buildup. Spray it and walk away.

Here's the full pro routine:

1. Mirror and light fixtures first. Start at the top, always work down.
2. Spray all surfaces — sink, counter, tub, toilet — and let them dwell while you move around the room.
3. Wipe the sink and counter. Rinse well.
4. Scrub the tub or shower, then rinse.
5. Toilet is always last. Seat, bowl, then base.
6. Finish with the floor.

Bonus: squeegee your shower walls after every use and you'll cut your deep clean time in half.

A few things I learned after years of cleaning professionally that nobody really tells you.

Most people clean harder when they should be cleaning smarter. Here are 5 habits that actually make a difference:

1. Top to bottom, always. Dust falls — don't clean your floors before your shelves.
2. Let your cleaner dwell for 30 seconds before wiping. The formula needs time to work.
3. Swap paper towels for microfiber cloths. Better clean, less waste.
4. High-touch surfaces — door handles, light switches, faucets — every single day. They carry the most bacteria.
5. One room at a time. Jumping between rooms makes cleaning feel endless.

The team of chemists have the bottles filled and ready to head to the warehouse, where they’ll be organized, packaged and prepared for fulfillment.

There is still 𝗦𝗢 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀, and I’m very aware that I’m learning as I go. But seeing something that started as an idea slowly turn into pallets, bottles, formulas, labels and now actual product… it hits differently.

I’m learning to celebrate the small things.

Because sometimes progress doesn’t look like a huge breakthrough.

Sometimes it looks like 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆.

I spent this afternoon in a live Fundraising 101 session learning the fundamentals of seed-stage financing — convertible notes, SAFEs, valuation caps, and how funding actually sequences from Pre-Seed through Series D.

A year ago, I didn't know what most of that meant. Now I'm showing up to these rooms, taking notes, and absorbing all of it.

One concept really stuck with me today: the art of rejection. When you're pitching investors, you're going to hear no — a lot — before you ever hear yes. That's not a sign you're doing something wrong. That's just part of the process. Every founder who has built something meaningful has a long list of no's behind them.

I'm building Zaha Living Co. the right way. Learning the business and finance side while I build the product side. None of this is fast, and none of it is glamorous. But it's all necessary.

If you're on a similar path, just know: the room full of notes and the pile of rejections are part of the deal. Keep going.

THIS IS THE PART OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP NOBODY SEES.…

You spend months building something… making decisions, taking risks, waiting for the day you finally get to see your product sitting in a warehouse.

And then you get there… and realize some of it didn’t arrive the way you hoped.

So this weekend, myself and a team had to go through those pallets, bottle by bottle, and manually separate what could be used from what couldn’t.

Was it frustrating? Absolutely.

But we have customers waiting.
And we have a commitment to keep.

So you roll up your sleeves. You figure it out. You keep moving.

Because resilience isn’t about everything going right.

It’s about what you do when it doesn’t.

This is ZAHA.

INTRODUCING MY HUSBAND TO OUR FUTURE. 🤍

Building something from scratch isn’t for the faint of heart.

For months, I’ve been talking about this dream, making decisions, taking risks, and trying to turn an idea in my head into something real.

Yesterday, my husband walked into the warehouse in Edmonton and saw it for the first time.

Those pallets made it real.

I looked at him and said… this is what I’ve been working on.
Not just a product. Not just a business.
A future we’re building for our family, for us, for me and you, and our future selves.

There’s still so much ahead. So many unknowns. But yesterday, for a moment, I stood there and thought:
I actually did it, we made it this far. And I just wanted to enjoy a small win with my husband by my side.

And honestly… this is just the beginning. 🌿

There are moments in building a business that you’ll never forget… and this is one of them. 🤍
After months of planning, testing, waiting, problem-solving, and a LOT of patience… Zaha has finally reached the Edmonton warehouse..

Today the products arrived, and honestly… seeing those pallets sitting there made everything feel real. 🥹

To everyone who has been cheering me on, asking when Zaha is launching, sharing my posts, and patiently waiting , thank you. Your support has meant more than you know.

Now comes the fun part. 😅
We’re unpacking, organizing, getting everything ready and preparing to finally put Zaha out into the world.

This is just the beginning… and I cannot wait for you to experience what we’ve been building. 🌿🤍
